  Job Description and Title:

1. Medical Technology Hotline Manager /Call Center Manager/Hotline Manager

Hiring Medical Technology Hotline Manager /Call Center Manager/Hotline Manager for Maryland office of GIRS. This position involves the weekly review of call center call logs, database, and recordings to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed by the call center staff; providing effective feedback to hotline staff on areas of strength and weaknesses; development of creative and effective solutions with the President to motivate staff and to establish quality improvement measures to ensure that the SOPs are followed and timelines for work are met. Update of hotline tools including SOPs, Billing Guides, etc.

Professional Experience: The potential candidate would need to have some prior experience in Medical Technology Hotline work, management of small call center teams, and effective management skills. Knowledge of reimbursement work including insurance verifications, appeals, and payer communications and terms, and knowledge of HIPAA requirements as it impacts hotline work are a must.

Education: BA or MA Degree

Personality Traits: Detail oriented, organized, good interpersonal and people skills, compliance oriented, takes responsibility and is accountable, job commitment, creative problem solving and management skills.

2. Medical Technology Hotline Specialist/Call Center Representative/Reimbursement Specialist

Hiring Medical Technology Hotline Specialist/Call Center Representative/Reimbursement Specialist for Maryland office of GIRS. This position involves operating a medical technology hotline by answering account or sales representative questions with researched and approved coding responses, providing appeals assistance (does not involve conducting appeals or conducting coding research), conducting benefit verifications for private payer cases only, sending payer packages to support accounts with their claims submission on appeals activities. Daily documentation of calls in an electronic call log and entering data in a database is critical. In addition, it is important to follow Standard Operating Procedures that are approved by the client while performing this job. Some website based payer policy research for Medicare and other payers. Training is provided on a regular basis.

Professional Experience: The potential candidate would need to have some prior experience in reimbursement work, medical technology billing, or insurance company work. Medical Technology Hotline work is a plus. Knowledge of reimbursement work including insurance verifications, appeals, and payer communications and terms, and knowledge of HIPAA requirements as it impacts hotline work are a must.

Education: Coding Education or certification, a BA or Associates Degree

Personality Traits: Service oriented, compliance oriented and follows established procedures, likes to provide educational materials to providers and sales representatives, detail oriented, organized, good interpersonal and people skills takes responsibility and is accountable, job commitment, client satisfaction, creative problem solving and management skills.
